Scott Tonderum - General Manager

Scott joined GMU in December 2013 as the Assistant General Manager. He was promoted to General Manager on April 1, 2014.

Craig Ford - Assistant General Manager

Craig joined GMU in January 2015 from Fontanelle Municipal Utilities.  Craig currently holds Grade 2 Water Treatment and Distribution licenses along with a Grade 1 Wastewater license and an Aquatic Pesticides Applicators license.

Jessica Foster - Office Administrator

Jessica started with GMU in July 2009.  Jessica oversees the office environment and customer interactions.
 

Maxwell Brashear - Electric Line Journeyman

Maxwell came to GMU in January 2015 after completing lineman school at Northwest Community College in 2014.  Maxwell has since completed the Iowa Association of Municipal Utilities Lineman Apprenticeship program to become a Certified Electric Line Journeyman.  Maxwell currently has Grade 2 Water Treatment and Grade 2 Water Distribution licenses. He also has a crane operator license used to operate the Digger Derrick truck.

Kolby Baier - Electric Line Journeyman

Kolby came to GMU in December 2016.  He has since completed the Iowa Association of Municipal Utilities Lineman Apprenticeship program to become a Certified Electric Line Journeyman. Kolby currently has Grade 2 Water Treatment and Grade 2 Water Distribution licenses.  He also has a crane operator license used to operate the Digger Derrick truck.

Sam Groves - Water Plant Foreman/Apprentice Lineman

Sam began with GMU in December 2016.  He is currently enrolled in the Iowa Association of Muncipal Utilities Lineman Apprenticeship program to become a Journeyman. Sam currently holds Grade 3 Water Treatment and Grade 2 Water Distribution licenses along with a Grade 1 Wastewater license and an Aquatic Pesticides Application license.  He also has a crane operator license used to operate the Digger Derrick truck.

Corbin Bond - Apprentice Water Operator 

Corbin joined the GMU crew in March 2022 in a brand new position.  Corbin will be learning the electric and water side of operations from the ground up starting with utility locating and meter reading/replacement. Corbin has since passed his Grade 1 Water Treatment and Grade 1 Water Distribution tests.

Chuck Auten - Power Plant Foreman Apprentice 

Chuck joined GMU in April 2023 to begin training under retiring Power Plant Foreman Steve McCann.  Chuck holds a Grade I Water Treatment and Grade I Water Distribution license.

Delson Grantham - Water Plant Operator 

Delson came to GMU with water experience and will be learning both electric and water responsiblities.  Delson holds a Grade II Water Treatment and Grade II Water Distribution License.

Grant Ballard - Apprentice Lineman

Grant graduated in the inaugural DMACC lineman program in July 2023 before starting as an apprentice lineman with GMU in August 2023.
